Instructions to Speakers/Panelists

For Speakers in Regular Sessions (A1, B1, C1):

1)      You should have already received a registration confirmation email that contains the links to join all sessions of the Symposium. Those links are for you to join as a general attendee.

2)      You should have also received a panelist link that is only for speakers/panelists of a session to join, so that you can enable your video and audio during the session.

3)      As your session is the first for the day, you can join the Symposium via this panelist link. After your session is done, we will change you from a panelist to a general attendee.

4)      Please prepare your presentation within 12-13 minutes to allow 2-3 minutes for Q/A.

5)      If at all possible, please log into the session 5-10 min early and with your real name so that we can easily identify you from the list of all attendees.

For Speakers in Lightning & Panel Discussion Sessions
(A2, A3, B21, B22, B3, C2, C3):

1)      You should have already received a registration confirmation email that contains the links to join all sessions of the Symposium. Those links are for you to join as a general attendee.

2)      You should have also received a panelist link that is only for speakers/panelists of a session to join, so that you can enable your video and audio during the session .

3)      As we only have a single track (except B21/B22 on Day 2), you can join the Symposium via the general (attendee) link at the beginning of a day and stay for all the sessions of the day (we have 15 min breaks between sessions). This is perfectly fine and actually encouraged. In order to join your session as a panelist, you may choose one of the two ways: a) You can sign off during the break right before your session, and immediately sign in using your panelist link; or b) notify us via Q/A or chat, and we will promote you from an attendee to a panelist during the break.

4)      During your session, all 5-min videos of the session will be shown first. Your session chair will then start the Q/A, followed by a panel discussion around the specific theme of your session. Also all videos (except 1-2 per the authors’ requests) have been uploaded to our DTA2021 Virtual Symposium Youtube channel (see here). We will share (some of) the questions/comments related to your video during the Q/A portion of the session.

5)      If at all possible, please log into the session 5-10 min early and with your real name so that we can easily identify you from the list of all attendees.
